Meet Dr. Austin Schmidt
Dr. Schmidt was raised in a very small town outside of West Des Moines, Iowa, with his 3 brothers. Dr. Schmidt first became interested in dentistry after going through several years of orthodontic treatment that helped show what kind of positive impact treatment can offer patients. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Iowa State University in 2016, majoring in Biology and graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then continued his education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2020 and enjoying the many aspects general dentistry offers. After spending over 25 years in Iowa, Dr. Schmidt decided to relocate to Arizona to be closer to his family that moved here.
Outside The Office
Dr. Schmidt met his wife, Emily, on a study abroad trip to Spain in 2014. They got happily married in August 2024 and bought their first home, where they are constantly entertained by their four rescue dogs. Playing multiple sports growing up, Dr. Schmidt makes time to stay active in the gym and try new hiking trails with his wife, braving his fear of heights.
